This recipe for fried rice is simple, quick, and delicious.
Fried rice is a tasty dish that can be made in under 30 minutes. A sauce of soy sauce and oyster sauce gives it the perfect Asian flavor. Most fried rice recipes call for day-old rice, but if you cook the rice just before you make the fried rice, it turns out just as good. The best part about this fried rice recipe is that you can easily add in any vegetables or meat that you like to make it a meal on its own.
You can use any type of cold cooked rice for this recipe, but medium or long grain rice works best. You want to avoid using hot cooked rice as it will turn out sticky rather than fluffy.
Add the rice and oil to a large non-stick pan and stir it a couple times to coat it in oil.
Add the egg and scramble it with the rice until it's cooked through.
Add the defrosted vegetables on top of the rice and let them thaw for about 2 minutes.
Mix everything together, add the soy sauce and sesame oil, and keep cooking until everything is heated through.
