Today we're making a delicious, easy pasta recipe that's just perfect for a busy weeknight!
Start with some water and olive oil in a pot. Turn the heat to medium-high and bring it to a boil. Once it's boiling, add your pasta and cook it according to the directions on the box.
While that's cooking, get out some mushrooms and garlic. Wash them off under cold water and then slice them up into pieces you like. Now put some butter or olive oil in a pan over medium heat, let that melt up, and then add your mushrooms. Let them cook until they're soft (about five minutes or so), then add the garlic and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Let the garlic cook for another two minutes, then pour in your cream cheese. Stir this in until it's all melted together, then take it off the burner and set it aside.
When your pasta is done cooking, drain it, put it back in the pot you cooked it in, pour on your mushroom sauce, stir everything together until everything is evenly coated, and you're ready to eat!
This dish is rich, filling, warm… everything you need on a cold winter night!
Step 1:
Get a large pot and fill it with water. Add some salt so the water tastes like saltwater. If you can't taste the salt, add more. If the water isn't salty enough, add more salt.
Step 2:
When the water is boiling, put in pasta. How much pasta you use is up to you, but we recommend using the amount that comes in the box the pasta came in. But if you want to use more or less, that's fine too. Just have fun!
Step 3:
After a couple of minutes, take a noodle out of the pot and taste it. If it's crunchy and not chewy at all, it's very undercooked and needs to be cooked for longer. If it's chewy but still crunchy in some places, it's done. If it's soft, mushy, and falling apart, it's overcooked and your guests will probably be angry with you.
